When working with Windows 8 initially, it can seem like your blood pressure figuratively raises exponentially out of frustration if you don’t understanding the new navigation options. Knowing what hot corners are and how they work can help reduce that feeling and keep you calm.

What they are: Hot corners are the four corners around your main screen and are found most useful when working within the desktop. They include the top-left, top-right, bottom-left, and bottom-right. Each corner has a specific purpose.
