Ransomware Disrupts Yuba-Sutter Medical Clinic Operations

Operations were disrupted for two days after ransomware attack on Yuba city clinic…

Yuba-Sutter Medical Clinic was hit with ransomware on August 3, 2016 and it took a day or two to get things back up and running.  Although no patient information was breached, the ransomware blocked access to patient files.  This led to patients being rescheduled until the issues could be resolved.

It has not been reported what form of ransomware hit the clinic, or if officials paid the ransomware to obtain access to their systems.  To read the full story, you can click here.
