The Droid is the fourth Android-based smartphone from I’ve had the chance to test out during the past 10 months and I must say, there’s a certain sameness to all of Verizon’s Droids. So it’s the details that distinguish them from one another. It’s sort of like if Apple has four different size iPhones.

Listen to this concession: “Okay, yes, once you’ve used a two-monitor setup, going back to a single monitor sucks.”
That from my wife who last year resisted using a second monitor. It’s so darn quaint when she admits she’s wrong.
Judy found that out when I brought home a friend’s PC for repair, needed a monitor, and borrowed hers. (First rule of computing: Use someone else’s equipment whenever possible.)
The repair was taking longer than I expected — funny how computers do that to you — and, my pobrecita was feeling deprived.

I’ve written before about the coming death of the CD/DVD’s for data storage. While that time hasn’t come yet for desktop there is one realm where CD/DVD players are no longer needed. If you’re getting ready to purchase a new laptop the one place you can really save is by shopping for a machine without a CD/DVD player. Not only will you save cash, but you’ll also save big time on weight and energy consumption.

Saving money is a snap using my computer. I can save big bucks just taking a second to search before leaving the house. My only question is….. did Lady GaGa search for the best prices on flank steak before putting together her MTV wardrobe? I bet not.

When I first got my laptop (8 mos. ago) my battery life was about 2 hours 45. Now after daily use (mostly with plug but using battery as well) it is down to 1.5 hrs which is basically useless. I have tried draining totally recharging etc and still only 1.5 hours. SO I am buying a new one. My question is how do I make my battery keep its charge so I can have it when I need it?

It’s been a while since I last talked to you about Dropbox. It’s a service which gives you 2GB of free storage space in the cloud. You can then purchase up to 100GB of space if you wish to. The best part of Dropbox is being able to share your space with as many others as you choose. Invite people to download or add files, and even help organize them into separate folders. Don’t worry – if you accidentally delete something, Dropbox even lets you undo your oopsie from the interface.
