  1. I am about to take the plunge and had hoped that this would be informative. It was a total waste of 6+ minutes. There is no information here, just a statement of fact. “The new phones can do a lot of things.”

  2. I agree with you Chris. I use my “phone,” more for all of its features except telephone calls. Yes I do use it to make and receive calls but I use it more for its media player functions, email, IM, text, audible books, ereader, camera, video camera, gps functions. It is my one device that does practically everything. As a matter of fact, it is more powerful than my first computer. It also has about ten times the storage of my first computer. I can live without it but I don’t want to.

  3. I totally agree with you! I have had a cell phone for many years now & never left home without it.I now have a smart phone(Android) & I just love it. I would never leave home without it.I think it’s pretty amazing,a computer/phone you can actually carry right in your pocket. You certainly can’t beat that!10 yess ago,I would have never even imagined such a thing would ever be possible. We are progressing very fast.

  4. NO I could not live without my cell phone, regardless if its a smartphone or not. My first was a bag phone a Motorola 2900/2950, my first hand held was a Motorola 550 gold series and I still have them both. No they are not in service today but they both still work…lol

  5. There isnt a “smart” phone sold yet.
the currently labeled smart phones are more of a “look we can make you multitask 45 things and still you will acomplish nothing” phone
