Windows 7 Family Pack on the Way?

Bloggers Kristen Kenneay & Zdnet’s Ed Bott took a deep dive into Microsoft’s Windows 7 Home Premium EULA and found a clause that suggests you will be able to install one copy of the new operating system “on three computers in your household for use by people who reside there”.

At launch, Vista was offered with a similar ‘family pack’ option, but this alternative was short lived and was limited to those who had purchased or upgraded to the pricey Vista Ultimate.

No official word yet from Microsoft on this rumor or the next logical question — How much will the Family Pack cost?

However, if this multiple computer upgrade option holds true – it likely makes a Windows 7 upgrade an even more attractive idea for many.
