Thomas Jefferson Monticello Attacked by Ransomware

Thomas Jefferson Monticello – Recent Ransomware Victim

An unknown ransomware variant recently encrypted the computer and phone systems at the Thomas Jefferson Monitcello, located in Charlottesville, Virginia.  The Federal News Radio reported tours are being not interrupted.  However, all electronic transactions have been ceased until the matter can be resolved.  Therefore, all electronic tourist payments are being done via paper.  The ransom demand is not being reported.

It is unknown if the tourist attraction will pay for the decryption key, or try to fix the systems internally.
