Does your PC have a CD or DVD Player? You could be entitled to a settlement or a reward.

If you purchased an optical disk drive between April 1, 2003 and December 31, 2008, you could have a settlement reward…

On September 16, 2016, Top Class Actions reported a settlement for indirect optical disk drive purchases has been reached.  The settlement only impacts the indirect purchases of optical disk drives between April 1, 2003 and December 31, 2008.  The lawsuit originated after the U.S. Department of Justice called the optical disk drive industry into question in 2009.  In 2010, the cases were consolidated after finding various electronic companies had also conspired to fix prices of optical disk drives.

Optical disk drives are already installed in several PCs at the time of purchase.  Please note, the settlement is only for people who purchased the drives indirectly for their own use.  The potential settlement award is slated for $10 USD.

If you are questioning if you are eligible for this settlement award, or wish to file a claim, you may do so here.
