Long Lasting Firefox Scam
A Firefox scam has been going on since early 2016, and it won’t seem to go away. The scam is a screen that randomly populates which states there is a critical update that user must install. In order to do so, the user is directly to download a Java Script file, shown below.
Firefox, has been aware of the fake update scam; however, there isn’t much they can do since the scam is not related to Firefox directly.
As we have said, this is a scam and users should not download the file. Instead, if they are able, close out of the window entirely.
