PC Pitstop New Hires – Q1 2017

 

Jared Torrence – Support Technician

Jared joined PC Pitstop this quarter as a new member of the technical support team.  He is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina; but, is now residing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Jared is in the process of completing an Associates degree in Computer Technology with a networking emphasis at Horry Georgetown Technical College.  He aspires to be a network architect.  He views designing a scheme based on the current need and potential growth, as well as configuring hardware all for a network as a form of art.  Jared and his wife recently celebrated the birth of their new son.

Thomas Bettke – Malware Research Team

Thomas is the newest analyst on the malware research team. Originally born in New York, his family migrated south when Thomas was four. The last 18 years he has spent in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina enjoying beach life. Thomas is a recent graduate from Horry Georgetown Technical College receiving an AAS in Business Administration with a concentration in Public Service Administration. Following in his brother’s footsteps, Thomas decided to pursue a career in computer security and is currently teaching himself JavaScript and Python. In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors with his two Jack Russell Terriers.

Thomas Reagan – Malware Research Team

Thomas recently joined the PC Pitstop Malware Research Team.  He was born in Reading, Pennsylvania and graduated from Bloomsburg University in 1986.  In 2002, he relocated to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to get away from northern winters and to play more golf.  He is married with twin 16 year old girls and a dog. Prior to working with PC Pitstop, he was employed with a software developer for over 15 years as a support technician and quality assurance analyst. He enjoys vacationing down in Hilton Head, the beach,  doing yardwork, football, golf, cooking.  His life-long goal is to hit a million dollar lottery and buy a house at the beach.

Bryan Lancaster – Malware Research Team

Bryan is a new member of the PC Pitstop Malware Research Team.  He is from Garland, Texas, and prior to working at PC Pitstop, he worked for the City of Garland for 10 years.  He in his spare time he enjoys playing XBox, building and repairing PCs, and spending time with his two children.
