PC Matic University Computer Safety Test

PC Matic University

PC Matic University (PCMU) has been in development for over a year now. The quizzes, videos, and tutorials are meant to give you a better understanding of how your computer runs. We also show you how PC Matic protects and optimizes your device.

All of this is free to you. Cybersecurity is our number one concern at PC Matic. PCMU is aimed at making sure we keep you educated on the tools you’re using.

Below you can find a link to our basic computer safety test. It’ll test your knowledge on computer safety. Afterwards, the test breaks down any answers you may have missed. There’s also a link to the PCMU video library to offer you additional resources.

Check back frequently for more PCMU content as it’s delivered to you. And, as always, stay safe out there.

  1. I am concerned that I do not have the REAL PC Matic. A year ago I went to PCMatic.com to download the protection. I got a person named Kevin from the phone number: 724 330 3459. I have talked to him several times. The first time when I thought I was getting PCMatic he charged me $500. Then a year later when I was having a problem, I called him and he got everything working again, but this time the charge was $750 for a lifetime guarantee.

Is there anyway you can check this out for me?

  2. This was my first PCMU attempt on “what is an email”. Very succinct. Presenter’s diction was great and his explanation of various components was layman understandable. James was very knowledgeable. I took the test on email course and got 100. Hurray for me. I did not know about this PCMU but will do my best to access other free courses to learn more. I’m especially concerned about safety and security on various devices. I used to be able to run PCMatic testing but haven’t been able to do that for a while. I just trust that your product will do its job and keep my computer protected from all invasions. I’m old school and miss not being able to talk to someone live. I received a couple of emails to get PCMatic for LIfe but never acted on it because I didn’t know what to do and don’t know what questions to ask in the Chat with PCMatic rep section. Is there anyone who can help me on these 2 issues–talking with someone on phone and seeing if I could get PCMatic for life and how that would work if I get new computer, etc.

  3. I bought a new HP laptop just over a year ago. I’m in Florida now but tried getting PCMatic in this new machine was very confusing since I already had full membership to PCMatic. Never did get it on my new machine. I’d like to scan it but guess not

  4. Why not just ‘close the browser’? In whatever way one might chose. By the time you get that message pops up anything bad that might happen has already happened so it doesn’t matter how one closes the browser.

  5. I am smarter than I thought. I got 100% on my first and only try. With that said I will not let it go to my head, just remember to practice what I know all the time.

  6. I missed the one about scan frequency. I chose every hour instead of once a week. If you had once a day I would have picked that. I guess I am paranoid about the onslaught of malware, spyware, and ransomware.
