Middleton Schools in Connecticut Suffer from Ransomware Attack
Another ransomware has hit, yet another, school district. This time, it was Middleton District Schools, located in Middleton, Connecticut. The cyber attack is currently under investigation. Meaning, very few details are being released. What we do know is, an unknown ransomware variant infiltrated the school’s systems on June 28, 2018. The malicious attack left only two out of the district’s six systems partially operational. Although the ransom demands were not disclosed, the district’s Superintendent Michael Conner said the district has not paid any ransom.
