“Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday to You. Happy Birthday, PC Pitstop … Happy Birthday to You!”

Yeah! On March 1, our site celebrated its official one-year anniversary. It’s been an incredible 12 months. In that time, more than 4 million people have visited our site, and we’ve tested close to 800,000 PCs. The customer response has been tremendous, and as a company we are more convinced than ever that we’ve developed technologies that truly assist in the PC diagnosis and learning process. Thank you everyone for coming to visit our site.

But now I’m blowing out our candle and making my wish … My eyes are closed, and I’m hoping it will come true … I squeeze my eyes a little tighter, clean my heart and make the wish one more time …

I wish that each and every one of our visitors that buys from Amazon.com goes there through a PC Pitstop link. Let me explain how this works: Whenever you visit Amazon through a PC Pitstop link, Amazon is able to give a small credit back to PC Pitstop for each and every purchase made. It doesn’t cost you anything, but if we are successful in getting enough people to use our links, it could help us create an even better site for you.

Best of all, you don’t have to visit Pitstop before going to Amazon. Just update your Amazon bookmark in your browser to allow Pitstop to get credit. We’ve made it quick and simple:

Bookmark http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect-home/pcpitstop.

Once it’s bookmarked properly, each and every Amazon visit will be logged and credited.I used to have a saying during my days at Gateway: “Little things can make a big difference.” My wish certainly falls into this category. It’s just a small change to your browser, but it could make a big difference for the Pitstop. And you have my personal promise that it will all be used to make PC Pitstop into the best support site on the planet.

So let’s celebrate our one-year anniversary, and here’s to another great year!
