My desktop has had win7 for three years now since RC1 was first available. the laptops are so far running faster after upgrading and updating to win7 ultimate sp1. I like win7 and I don't believe I will regret upgrading to win7.

We have to usually press the button until it goes off, because it won't let us click the Start button or if we do, it gets frozen in the middle of shutting down. That's why I came here, to try to figure out what to do about that.

2/1/2012 6:53:23 AM When we first got it, it worked great. The more programs (not games, but graphics & Word programs) added and the more we went online, the more junk seemed to clog up the works until it takes 3 minutes for start-up and pokes around on the net even with high connection speed.

It also overheats, maybe like other laptops, but there has to be a solution for this problem. It's not the satisfaction but the dissatisfaction with this computer for the reason that I still have an old model by HP from '99 and it still running not as smooth as this computer but it runs with VERY FEW glitches, the graphics may not be as great but I am happy with the old HP.

10/24/2011 3:20:20 PM As of 3 days ago, I cannot open anything in regular mode - only in safe mode. I scanned my computer with Microsoft's Virus Removal Tool - no viruses/spyware according to that. I have run window checking disk for errors - found errors and fixed them but I still have the same result.
