2/19/2011 10:34:03 AM HP has in past been very good about help, periodic tune-ups, has resisted slow downs much better than Dell units in past. Dell help has been awful in my mind. I'm stuck with MSFT and don't like them but not DELL. I would be with MAC in a heart beat if they handled programs I need. Linus OS I believe the name is would take over the PC world and run MSFT off the planet in heart beat because its so efficient and crash-less if they would only write the programs to take over from MSFT

6/25/2010 2:04:28 PM SOmetimes it takes a long time to connect a display an IE window. Some times a get a message unable to load a Microsoft Word screen dur to memory availability when the screen is displayed. Sometimes I see the hard drive being constantly accessed and I am unable to determine that program is accessing the harddrive. Sometimes the computer is sluggish and the CPU is 60% bust with program SVCHOST and I am not able to determine what program is causing the high amount of CPU usage.

12/31/2010 3:56:09 PM Recently I have been trying different malware programs to remove adware and spyware that may not be detected by antivirus. I think the the Lavasoft Ad-aware may have helped but was causing a drain on resources. Additionally, I was using the AVG Free antivirus and it failed to detect a "Security Advisor" threat on one of our home PCs, so I uninstalled it and installed avast! Antivirus. I like avast! better, because it removed the "Security Advisor" threat (AVG did not), and this computer is now running faster than it ever did, lowever CPU percentage and faster response on internet browsing and other programs like Office 2007. I think that AVG may have been draiing resources. This PC has 64-bit Vista Ultimate. Maybe AVG did not work well with 64-bit Vista.

I have bought the pc matic download from Costco and I am trying to download it but can't have been back and forth with your tech's and they tell me the same and I get no results. I am 67 can download and manipulate my computer but this one has stumpped me. Why will it not download?
