5/29/2009 11:45:24 AM When I use an external drive with Virtual PC, I experience almost interminable waits (as much as 10 minutes) to execute a simple EXE. When I disconnect the external drive, the delays go away.

11/29/2009 2:25:03 PM current problem "foxit won't open OCX.ocx files" Partition Magic says #993 error, system has open files some previously opened files that I've closed continue to pop up on the screen. Just performed a Clean Install of XP because many files had become corrupt.

12/22/2011 3:06:03 AM Recently having problem of my Windows Firewall not being on when I start up my PC (every time). I'm notified that I am at risk and when I try to activate it from the window that comes up, I am unable to turn the firewall on. So, I then go to the Control Panel and that takes quite awhile to allow me to scroll down to the Firewall icon. I click on it and sometimes it will allow me to turn it on and other times it won't and gives me an error message that I am unable to turn it on.

4/14/2012 10:06:11 AM This PC overall has been very good. It has been running slowly in the last year and hopefully downloading and using PC Matic will help. The only major drawback to this PC is that the screen is very dim when running on battery power. Again, for it's age this PC has been pretty good.

I remembered that I have PC Matic on an older model desktop that I used and it made a recognizable difference in the performance on that. I thought it would be a good idea to run a scaan on this laptop to see if I can get better performance. Ron

Internet provider claims times are acceptable although should be provideing 15 Mb/s download. Would like to show if part of problem with internet provider. Would also like to know how to improve performance of computer.
