After benchtesting I needed to custom manage it's virtral memory because Windows couldn't keep up whick overburdened it's dual processors and was causing freeze ups.

8/26/2010 3:47:47 AM Computer recently started freezing while on internet. Next Windows Vista Home Premium would not start up in normal mode. Then the computer would not start Windows in safe mode. Reloaded Windows Home Premium with assistance from Dell Tech. System now will start up in normal mode. However, had problems re-installing Microsoft software.

11/10/2010 6:06:06 PM Had my front USB drives reinstalled by a Dell Tech Rep, and they still don't work. I plug in a USB drive, and it is not recognized. I have a 4 port hub pluged into the back of my computer, and this works, but for the life of me I can't figure out why my front USB's don't work. I own Windows 7 Professional software and it is installed, 64 bit. JCM

2/6/2016 1:24:44 PM This was top of the line when I bought it from Pell. It is a raid 1 computer with a high end processor having 64 bit capability but operates on Vista home premium 32bit. Replace drive 2 about a month ago after it failed. Planing on prchasing another matching 500g HD for the shelf so i will be able to replace orginal drive if it fails without much down time.I have been having having windows start up failurers and had to do the auto startup repair. Am thinking about moving to windows 7 in the near future. Would appreciat and input that might have...cmbjr

Tried reseating the video card but broke it instead (oh, crap). Bought a new card but Aero was still not available; system reports something about Desktop Window Manager is disabled.

I have to keep turning it off and back on again until it will come on without the noise. And then, sometimes you'll be in the middle of surfing web, or typing a paper and it will just start making that noise and the computer cuts off.

Have to hold the power button to shut down. It may reeapt that sequence ten times, more or less, and then it suddnely boots up correectly

Tried VISTA and WIN7 Pro both 32 and 64 bit on this PC and Did not care for either. Have been using Advanced System Ultimate7 till I saw your AD for PCMatic. I liked it, however, it does not prevent the "Blue Screen". Have to try something. I run 5 computers at home, all use WinXP Pro or The MEDIA Version.

My music,pictures,email (I have IncrediMail, so I have had to install all my letters, ecard, notifiers, sounds, etc all seperatly), and believe me I have had to do that several times. It was not only my incredimail, but ALL my music and pictures too; all my files and major correspondences. This computer, has crashed, frozen up and just simply STOPPED responding to the point that I have had to restore it to factory setting before being able to save my files. Even though I have since then gotten external backup disks, it is still upsetting when you try to put back as little as possible, and you still have the same problems. Why! can anyone tell me why when I try to click on IE or Firefox icons the Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer freezes up, turns my screen completly White and stops working. Thie occurs several times, and believe me it is very frustrating. This computer did not come with or has ever had a PC Tuneup program, so I am really hoping that it will help to do as you stated and it will speed up, stabilize, give me better performance, and security. Just installed, so other than whet I stated above, I really hope this will work, because my computer needs to keep tuned-up. Thank you.

Professional version says files are corrupted or missing & it will not operate as before. Other than this, this Dell 410 has been a very good computer. Just wish it would return to previous XP Professional version and I do not know how to get it to do this. It is also not installing the new CA Internet securtiy's Personal Firewall, despite my following all steps in help section.

9/19/2009 3:40:58 PM Erratic bootups, sometimes won't launch Windows at all without reboot. MS applications seem fragile and often collapse. System memory sometimes seems lacking, and get "not enough memory" when trying to launch MS Word, etc.

3/18/2011 6:59:57 PM In February 2007 when we purchased this machine, a Dell XPS 410, we expected blazing speed. It never materialized. I attributed it to Vista. I just expected more out of this product and it seems to be getting slower as time goes on. It should not take over a minute to open Microsoft Outlook and over a minute to open Internet Explorer.

This computer has vista,and at shut down you get that spinning circle and then it stops spinning,Locked up? I have to shut down by pressing the power button. Something I hate to co!

10/31/2010 3:09:57 PM It suffers from severe stuttering. Nothing was indicated as broken, but seven Vista reinstalls did not solve the issue. The specs are too low for gaming and 3d use today.
