This is the best that I know about not running the two of them together. The speed of my computer was slower with only one of these installed. I guessed on the maximum speed connections. I am using Road Runner thru ComCast.

Nope, was fine for a little while then not. Uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, that helped for a while. If I reboot it seems ok (not quite right, but better) until I use Firefox or Internet Explorer, and then bogs down, even after they are closed.

I use mostly on Internet (AOL Provider) and it is on Dial Up (so naturally slow for many functions, especially with the 512MB RAM. Have not had 2GB installed long enough to know if that helped. Tech at Target Direct recomended PC Tune UP when I was buying RAM. So, see what happens. Had a lot of trouble geting PC Tune up to run (perhaps the main problem was my Interne connection , but that seems to have fibnaly been resolved). Other than slow (mostly with Internet Dial Up and wondering if AOL is sometimes messing me up) - it has been a reliable computer. DELL Dimension 3000

The only issue I have with it at this point is that Norton 360 occasionally reports high CPU usage, the frequency of which has increased over the last year or so. The fan also seems to run with greater intensity more frequently in the last year or so, especially when the humidity is up on days I do not run the air conditioner.

I changed it from a constant updating capability to one in which I choose when to update. But I'm constantly annoyed by requests to check for updates. If I end up permanently using your system would I be able to permanently disable McAfee Security. I also get frequent situations with messages saying Windows is not responding.e

1/11/2011 9:31:01 AM From the beginning the computer would not give out any sound...I had bought a inhome repair contract through Dell...every time I called Dell for Repairs I would end up talking to someone from India...they using remote access tried to fix it...after maney tries they crashed the computer and had to send me a number of disks from Dell to boot up my computer...done of what they did corrected the sound problem...therefore I will not buy aor promote Dell in the future!

Microsoft office 2003 word docs never open the same way twice.- that program refuses to keep my settings- ie- I don't want any live*anything appearing in docs I open, and the task pane is hit or miss opening in docs. This pc was junk, new out of the box. I think I said that before here.

They do not honor warranties.Period. I have drivers that need updated that Dell/Microsoft/Windows do not support.So I am stuck with an ever increasingly outdated dogpile of crap. I have also tried to update these drivers with your driver detective program and it sucks. I use a ram boost incorp. in tuneup utilities and this processor still underperforms. Motorola's/AT&T's dsl modem overheats and AT&T does not sell a good product either. Folks in the computer business are making a killing at "killing" people. They should feel proud of themselves.
