9/25/2014 10:41:49 PM I have free security software from Optimum Cablevision. Recently they stopped using Total Defense and switched to Mcaffee. Each time I try to load Macffee the computer crashes. MCaffee Tech support was unable to install it and recommended Win 7 upgrade or new computer since XP not suipported any more

Run PC almost every 2-3 days yet still have problems. Occasionally curser will not respond to touchpad, but will respond to the button in center of keyboard. PC Pitstop says I am running another antivirus program, yet I have removed every one I can find.

My previous spare, a Dell Latitude D630 black screened in October 2015 and I really needed a replacement for a special project. This is the replacement. Just because it's older doesn't mean that I want it to running at less than optimal settings. I like the Total Defense PC Tune-Up.

12/6/2009 8:52:19 PM Prior to Scans the PC Hangs up between processes in various applications, internet speeds have slowed despite regular maintenance including PC Optimize and PC Disc Doctor, etc. 12/4/09 scan resulted in inability to fix the three items shown and couldn't check certain system aspects. The alert suggested uninstall and reinstall which has been done (12/6/09). Rescan showed the same three fixes were needed. This time auto fix worked and the trhee items were taken care of. Upon executing the recommended rescan. System encountered difficulty and PC Matic was stopped by Windows. I had toi use Task Manager top force a quit to finally clear the application. I reopened PC Matic, performed a scan, reached this screen and made these notes. Now we'll see what happens when I push the "SAVE" Button. Follow Up: The scan was saved, the information screen showed one still needed. A driver that seems to defy updating. I Clicked "FIX" the aplication proceeded through its steps, including download and install of the driver. Shortky thereafter, Windows shut the application down for an unknown reason. Looks like things are where they were, except that I don't get a message saying to reinstall the PC Matic application. I will now save this scan, close the application without trying to FIX anything, reopen my internet security program and move along. I hope that at least the computer runs more quickly and expereinces fewer delays and hang ups. We shall see....

10/16/2009 10:04:28 AM Particularly slow with MS Excel. Also has a bug that prevents logging onto an Exchange server except if going through VPN connection. Even then , connection must be hardwired, not wireless to work.
