11/26/2014 8:17:33 AM I have had it since 2007, it's my master computer for the listening program I provide. Until recently I have been pleased as punch with it. It has begun running so slowly that it can take 30 minutes to boot. The hard drive light often bangs away constantly, sometimes all night, though nothing that I know of is running. Have had a technician work on it, which helped for about 2 hours, then the hard drive light stayed on again. The lag can be so great that sometimes I type a whole paragraph in Word before it shows up on the screen. The listening program I provide runs on XP and will continue to be maintained, I can't afford to buy a bunch of Win7 computers to upgrade to the Win7 version, and since the XP version is just fine, I need to get this main computer running right. I hope PC matic does the trick.

12/1/2011 6:45:00 PM In recent weeks the computer has been slow to connect to the internet. This could be partly due to a new set up woth Comcast xfinity. It has also started to lock up on me when it never did this before...mainly with internet activity. I am guessing when I got this computer as it was purchase by my employer and then given to me upon my retiremnent in 2010.

It's been great, but now it's starting to bite. For some reason, my wireless internet card won't even pick up my router, only my neighbors. Please help.

2/24/2015 11:30:17 AM I just got this computer back from the Repair Man. He fixed it after it got a virus that AVG Did Not Catch. Everyting on this computer is now new because we had to start from scratch after the Virus attack so the computer is running fast again. I installed PC Matic because I want to keep it running fast and hopefully catch any future viruses before they do any damage again. (While this computer was at the repair man getting fixed over the past several weeks, I purchased and installed PC Matic on my other 3 computers. So far I am pleased with how PC Matic has helped those other 3 other computers. Let us hope that PC Matic keeps this computer running properly.

However, This is a DELL PC, running Windows 7 Professional in what appears to be a version available in 2009, with many, many updates since then, 3it. 1 Gigabyte RAAM. I am somewhart satisfied even though it is slow since I mostly want it to access a particular program located on the cloud. Processor Intel 2 Duo 200 Gig 200.
