6/21/2011 12:53:21 PM I removed some trojans with Malwarebytes, and it changed the registry, which made it impossible to open any programs. Rescanned the computer after I found the exe files and still came up clean, but the computer isnt useable for my programs.

They are all the same. 1) Offer free scan and imply fix all issues 2) Scan finds 1000's of issues 3) Malware request fix 10 items for free or $29.95 to fix 10000's of issues. This is fraud and I wish I could report something like this to authorities when it occurs.

Eventually it gets fixed, but usually with more than 1 "pros" online visit (and charge$$) and when I get my controls back It's like a different machine with lost software, lost decoders, "home" page all changed etc.

10/17/2009 4:09:05 PM It is doing peculiar things that is hard to define. One issue is that when a phone rings, I'm kicked off the Internet. As second is that I have to key F1 for it to boot. Another is that when I sign off the internet, it always gives me an error message and wants to contact Microsoft, but if I say yes, it says I'm not connected. Some applications don't recognize that I am connected to the Internet.

Hard disk was reformatted by a technician and Windows XP Home Edition reinstalled from scratch. Programs reinstalled etc. I also upgraded memory. The computer is working much better and faster considering it is an old model.

But there have been some minor issues, such as: this hard drive is the 3rd HD this computer has needed since purchase. Also, running in SAFE MODE now due to the fact that it was taking forever to access the DESKTOP after login. Computer came with 1MB of RAM & have never upgraded so suspect that may be the issue now.

3/11/2010 2:14:48 PM Was very satisfied until I hooked up a home network with a laptop computer. Now it is very slow rebooting and sometimes shuts down with a physical memory dump. I'm assuming it is becasue the computer is 5 years old.

4/9/2011 10:21:18 PM Problems since i upgraded to vista. won't start up without the Windows Vista disk in the cd drive on many occassions. Have to unplug the external hard drive so pc will start up. usually have to turn off and restart several times after an update.
