The awards program, in its third consecutive year, recognizes leadership in cybersecurity from four categories, including industry, leadership, government, and academia. All recipients recognized with an award are South Carolina based companies, and the awards were presented at CyberSC’s “Now and Next | South Carolina Cybersecurity Summit” on Tuesday.
“We are honored to be recognized by this prestigious cybersecurity organization right here in our home state of South Carolina,” said PC Matic CEO Rob Cheng. “Standing alongside leaders in the industry, all of which are located here in the Palmetto State, shines a light on the talent South Carolina has to offer in the cybersecurity industry. Working together with leaders from industry, academia, leadership, and government, I firmly believe South Carolina is perfectly positioned to lead the nation in cybersecurity.”
Others recognized on Tuesday included the University of South Carolina Aiken, who received CyberSC’s academia recognition; the South Carolina Elections Commission who received the organization’s government recognition, and; Dr. Sandra Jordan, who received CyberSC’s leadership recognition.
