Another ransomware has hit, yet another, school district.\u00a0 This time, it was Middleton District Schools, located in Middleton, Connecticut.\u00a0 The cyber attack is currently under investigation.\u00a0 Meaning, very few details are being released.\u00a0 What we do know is, an unknown ransomware variant infiltrated the school’s systems on June 28, 2018.\u00a0 The malicious attack left only two out of the district’s six systems partially operational.\u00a0 Although the ransom demands were not disclosed, the district’s Superintendent Michael Conner said the district has not paid any ransom<\/a>.<\/p>\n For a list of ransomware attacks that have already taken place in 2018, you may click here<\/a>.
