Connecticut Courts Riddled with Ransomware<\/h3>\n

After being corrupted with ransomware,<\/a> Connecticut court systems had no option but to take their systems offline.\u00a0 Court staff members first realized there was a problem in their systems on March 9, 2018.<\/p>\n

The exact ransomware variant that infected the systems is unknown.\u00a0 However, after investigation, court officials do not believe any information was breached or lost.\u00a0 Court systems will remain offline until technicians are able to confirm the ransomware variant has been removed from the court’s computer systems, and they’re able to restore the encrypted files using their backup systems.<\/p>\n
