{"id":58141,"date":"2017-10-17T11:33:10","date_gmt":"2017-10-17T16:33:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/?p=58141"},"modified":"2017-10-17T11:33:10","modified_gmt":"2017-10-17T16:33:10","slug":"pc-pitstop-remains-nmsdc-member","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/pc-pitstop-remains-nmsdc-member\/","title":{"rendered":"PC Pitstop Renews Membership with National Minority Supplier Development Council\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>PC Pitstop Remains NMSDC Member<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmsdc.org\">National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC)<\/a> is the global leader in advancing business opportunities for its certified Asian, Black, Hispanic and Native American business enterprises and connecting them to member corporations.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second consecutive year PC Pitstop is was recognized as an minority group member (MBE) of the NMSDC.\u00a0 As a member, PC Pitstop receives various benefits offered by the NMSDC, including training, education, and networking opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>In order for PC Pitstop to be recognized as an MBE, it had to meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>United States citizens.<\/li>\n<li>Minority businesses must be at least 51% minority-owned operated and controlled. For the purposes of NMSDC\u2019s program, a minority group member is an individual who is at least 25% Asian, Black, Hispanic or Native American. Minority eligibility is established via a combination of screenings, interviews and site visits. Ownership, in the case of a publicly-owned business, means that at least 51% of the stock is owned by one or more minority group members.<\/li>\n<li>Must be a profit enterprise and physically located in the U.
