Pennsylvania senators were unable to access their computer networks and data after ransomware took over the Pennsylvania Senate’s computer systems. \u00a0According to 10 TV,<\/a>\u00a0the attack hasn\u2019t affected the state\u2019s networks, which are separate from the Senate\u2019s computers.<\/p>\n The ransomware variant that successfully infiltrated the Senate’s system is not being disclosed, nor is the ransom demand. \u00a0At this time, it is unclear if the office intends to pay the ransom demands to regain access to their computers and data, or if they have adequate backup files.<\/p>\n To see a full list of ransomware attacks that have taken place this year, you can click here<\/a>.
