Inside the latest security patch for Adobe Reader DC (15.023.20053) were numerous security patches. It included a new Chrome extension for Adobe Acrobat. This install was done silently in the background without prompting the user about the additional software they were about to install.<\/p>\n

Luckily, Chrome has a good defense in place, alerting users to a new extension being added and allowing them to disable and remove it before it can stick around too long.<\/p>\n
