Our analysis shows that folks are not replacing their aging PC as in years past.<\/p>\n<p>This chart shows the age range of computers from 2008 to 2016.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-54516 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/PCAgeRange.png\" alt=\"pcagerange\" width=\"481\" height=\"289\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/PCAgeRange.png 481w, https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/PCAgeRange-300x180.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 481px) 100vw, 481px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The data shows that in 2008 only 33% of PCs were 3 years or older. In 2016, the percentage of 3 years or older PCs has increased to 56%.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at the same data for the average age of home vs. business PCs, both home and business used computers showed a general increase in average age during 2008 &#8211; 2013.
