Marin Medical Practice Concepts, a medical billing and record service, based in Novato, California was hit with ransomware earlier this month.\u00a0 Very little details are being released about this particular ransomware attack.\u00a0 CEO of Marin Medical Practice Concepts, Lynn Mitchell, is being quite selective on what she is reporting.\u00a0 Here is what we do know; earlier this month, the company was hit with ransomware which made physicians unable to access patient records for ten days.\u00a0 The ransom demands were met in order to regain access to these patient records.\u00a0 According to Mitchell, no patient information was compromised.<\/p>\n
