You Should Update That&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All of those updates from your PC&#8217;s support assistant are necessary, and here is why&#8230;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I would estimate, on a weekly basis, I am alerted about new updates that my PC needs to stay current.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll be honest, I am not always making it a top\u00a0priority to update these applications.\u00a0 My thought process is: I never use that application, what&#8217;s the rush.\u00a0 Well, today I had a light bulb moment.\u00a0 I need to keep my computer updated, because who knows why the old version is outdated.\u00a0 Perhaps there is a security vulnerability, or maybe it&#8217;s just an update to increase the application&#8217;s efficiency.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t be certain, but I would rather be safe than sorry.<\/p>\n<p>My point is, I work for a security software company and I am consistently reading about security threats, yet I still questioned the need.\u00a0 This made me question how many others ignore their update requests.\u00a0 I would guess, not everyone is fully aware of the importance of this.<\/p>\n<p>I want to reiterate, although you may not use that program that needs a new update, you still need to keep it up-to-date.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re not, you could be leaving security holes in your PC.<\/p>\n<p>To check your computer for any updates needed, you can go into the &#8220;Settings&#8221;
