So many.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve just finished writing up some common usage scenarios for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dropbox<\/a>. It&#8217;s one of the first apps I install on any new Windows build out &#8211; both for on-the-fly backup as well as cross-machine file sharing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.videolan.org\/vlc\/\" target=\"_blank\">VLC<\/a> is absolutely my go-to media player. Recommend it strongly over all alternatives.<\/p>\n<p>I live in <a href=\"https:\/\/evernote.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Evernote<\/a>. I recommend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/en-US\/thunderbird\/\" target=\"_blank\">Thunderbird<\/a> to everyone. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/chrome\/browser\/desktop\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Chrome<\/a> is my go-to browser today.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/technet.microsoft.com\/en-us\/sysinternals\/bb896653.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Process Explorer<\/a> is my go-to solution, still, for figuring out what programs are running and what they&#8217;re doing on my machine. Often it leads to using other tools for deeper research, but it&#8217;s almost always where I start.<\/p>\n<p>For the power users: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.virtualbox.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">VirtualBox<\/a>. I run multiple versions of Windows for research and assistance all in virtual machines, often simultaneously, on my primary machine (a Mac Pro these days).<br \/>\n<br \/><\/br><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bob Rankin<\/strong><br \/>\nSome of my Favorite Freeware Apps:<br \/>\nAutoHotKey &#8211;
