Two-Factor Authentication: Keeps the Hackers Out<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two-factor authentication is a great way to keep your account secure from hackers – especially those that manage to get your password.<\/p>\n

(This is a chapter from my forthcoming book tentatively titled \u201cThe Ask Leo! Guide to Internet Safety\u201c.)<\/p>\n

With the increased reliance on passwords to protect our online world, and the simultaneously increasing abilities of hackers to defeat them, security folks devised something called \u201ctwo-factor\u201d, or \u201cmulti-factor\u201d authentication.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s something I strongly suggest you consider.<\/p>\n

Two factor authentication relies on two different types of information, both of which must be correct, in order to confirm your identity.<\/p>\n
