Windows 8.1 Update Fails to Install<\/h4>\n

Is a Windows update really an update if it fails to install? Those looking for the 8.1 Update are reporting challenges.–PC Pitstop<\/i><\/font><\/p>\n

Many users have been reporting that the newly released Windows 8.1 Update has failed to install on their Windows 8.1 computers. In this post we will see some generic and specific ways to try and troubleshoot this problem.<\/p>\n

Windows 8.1 Update package KB2919355 introduces several new features. It includes usability improvements, extended mobile device management and improved hardware support. In Windows Server 2012, this package also enables support clustering configurations for hosts.<\/p>\n

You will need to install this update in order to receive all future updates!<\/p>\n

First, you need to note down the error code which is shown during the failed installation. Most have been reporting error codes 80070020, 80073712, 0\u00d780070002, 0\u00d780070003 and 0x800f081f to Microsoft.<\/p>\n
