\nKeep your order and delivery notifications private<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once you\u2019ve purchased a gift, the next security hole is your email.<\/p>\n

Lock your computer<\/strong>
\nIf you use a computer at home, make sure you log out of your computer when you\u2019re finished using it. And, set your computer to sleep after a few minutes of inactivity and require your password to come out of sleep so kids can\u2019t check out what you\u2019ve been doing when you step away.<\/p>\n

On Windows PCs, you\u2019ll find this under \u201cControl Panel\u201d then \u201cAppearance and Personalization\u201d and then in the \u201cPersonalization\u201d section you\u2019ll find \u201cChange screen saver.\u201d
\nOn Macs, go to \u201cSystem Preferences\u201d then \u201cSecurity and Privacy\u201d and you\u2019ll find it under the \u201cGeneral\u201d tab.<\/p>\n

Lock your phone<\/strong>
\nThere are many reasons why you should keep your phone locked. Add foiling gift spies to the list. Choose from PIN code, a password or a pattern, among other options, and then set your phone to lock after you turn off the display and require your passcode to unlock.<\/p>\n

Turn off shipping notifications<\/strong>
\nIf you use Google on your iOS or Android device, you may have opted-in to Google Now. One of the notifications you receive through Google Now is package notifications, which often includes the name of item or items in the order.<\/p>\n

Usually knowing a package has shipped is a good thing, but not if your child sees the notice pop up on your phone. You can easily turn off package tracking notifications for the holidays by tapping the \u201ci\u201d button in the top right corner and then selecting \u201cchange settings.\u201d<\/p>\n
