And my answer would be\u2026 why not?<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a bit geeky I know and although this tip will work with Vista and Se7en, the real benefit is with Windows 8 in Desktop mode, it is a time saver to access site(s) that you visit regularly.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/web7.jpg\" alt=\"web7\" width=\"258\" height=\"333\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-42086\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/web7.jpg 258w, https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/web7-232x300.jpg 232w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 258px) 100vw, 258px\" \/><br \/>\n<BR CLEAR=LEFT><\/p>\n<p>This tip involves editing the registry so as usual, before you start create a system restore point and\/or back up your registry.<\/p>\n<p>You can create a context menu item for any website you wish and have it open in your favorite browser but as I only have three browsers installed, the examples given will be for Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome. Although I am going to explain this for Windows 8 everything is much the same for Vista and Se7en with the exception of opening the registry editor, which is click on the Start orb, type in regedit then press Enter.<\/p>\n<p>With Windows 8, from the Start Screen type regedit and press Enter to open the registry editor.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/reg11.jpg\" alt=\"reg11\" width=\"484\" height=\"210\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-42087\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/reg11.jpg 484w, https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/reg11-300x130.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 484px) 100vw, 484px\" \/><br \/>\n<BR CLEAR=LEFT><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2022<\/strong>Click on HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT then scroll down to and click on Directory, click on Background then on Shell.<br \/>\n<strong>\u2022<\/strong>Right click on the Shell key and select New then Key.
