For more information, see my articles Cleaning Up the Start Menu and Sorting the Windows 7 All Programs Menu \u2013 and Organizing it, too .<\/p>\n<p>In this article, I\u2019m going to focus on the configuration options. Our first step is to right-click on the Start Menu\u2019s Orb icon (or button icon, in earlier versions of Windows).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/win7-taskbar-options-1.jpg\" alt=\"win7-taskbar-options-1\" width=\"317\" height=\"100\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-40850\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/win7-taskbar-options-1.jpg 317w, https:\/\/www.pcmatic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/win7-taskbar-options-1-300x94.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 317px) 100vw, 317px\" \/><br \/>\n<BR CLEAR=LEFT><\/p>\n<p>The first tab of the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box is the Taskbar tab. On this tab, you can set Windows to automatically hide the taskbar when the cursor is not hovering over it. All you have to do in order to display the taskbar is to hover over the place where the hidden taskbar would display \u2014 and it displays.<\/p>\n<p><a
