Part is cut off. For example, the photo might be a head shot or just show the top half of the body.<\/p>\n<p>But placing that photo in the middle of the slide looks awkward. Your audience wonders about the part of the photo that\u2019s missing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ellenfinkelstein.com\/pptblog\/wordpress\/home8\/ellenfin\/public_html\/pptblog\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/powerpoint-tips-cut-off-images-1.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Note that this slide also violates my 3-side rule.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Move the cut-off side to the edge of the slide<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The best way to deal with this problem is to move the cut-off side of the photo to one edge of the slide. In this case, the bottom is cut off, so moving the photo to the bottom of the slide works best.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ellenfinkelstein.com\/pptblog\/wordpress\/home8\/ellenfin\/public_html\/pptblog\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/powerpoint-tips-cut-off-images-2.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But the photo still violates the 3-side rule and so here\u2019s another solution \u2014 remove the background. Doesn\u2019t this look better?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\"
