A Windows 7 upgrade is an upgrade from an older version of Windows, like Windows Vista or Windows XP. The anytime upgrade is an upgrade from one version of Windows 7 to another version of Windows 7. For example, you can use Anytime Upgrade to go from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate.
