Ransomware attacks have been booming in 2016, and now we have a map to visualize where the attacks have occurred…
This week, we decided it could be helpful if we generated a map of the United States that showed all ransomware attacks. This map plots out the attacks against schools, medical facilities, public municipalities, law enforcement, federal government, and churches. Each category is color coded, and you are able to click on the plotted area to see which specific facility was hit, as well as when the attack took place.
The map is live, and will be updated as additional details are disclosed with any further attacks. Feel free to view the map below:

Telling us the map is color coded then not giving us any hint as to what the color coding represents is kinda lame if you ask me. But that is just my opinion.
@Que:
@Rick Bailie: If you click the expand icon in the upper right corner of the map, you will see a larger map complete with the color codes.
@Rick Bailie: Ahh ok then, I somehow missed that 😉
I live in New Mexico and I did not see any pins on it for malware strikes. My son who is mentally challenged has lost a desktop computer and a I pad due to Ransomware Attacks. For him it was more of a scare ware attack because they both said the same thing that if we didn’t pay several thousand dollars we would loose our computers. Well we could not afford it so they were lost. Now I have your program and we have not had any problems.
Most folks are not going to spend a dollar just to collect a dime.
Perhaps it;s a good thing I Iive in Canada eh?
