Bristol Church Paralyzed By Ransomware

A malicious email attachment successfully corrupted Bristol church files…

The church had an employment opportunity, but they never would’ve guessed what this application had in store.  The Bristol church employee opened an email from what looked like a party interested in the open position.  The email was titled “Job application – please see attached CV.”.  Once the church employee clicked on the attachment, seven years worth of church files were encrypted.

The church stated they have no intention to pay the ransom.  It is reported by Data Store 365 that the officials are involved to help prevent future cyber attacks.
